PEE WEE HEAD COACH IS IN PLACE PDF Print E-mail

After talking with several people and some good leeds to fill the head coaching position one has now been selected. 

Rick Sunday will now be the head man for the Pee Wee program.  Coach Sunday has been an assistant coach under Coach Roger D. Marcelino for a couple of years at the boys and girls club, then became an offensive coordinator for Coach Marcelino during the first year of Pop Warner football when the team was called the Hurricanes.  The following year when South Texas Youth Athletics Club began, which South Texas Lightning Football Pop Warner is under.  Coach Sunday joined the coaching staff of the South Texas Lightning Jr Midgets team where he again filled the offensive coordinator position, this squad traveled and played only San Antonio teams. 

Coach Sunday is a former Semi-pro football player who's coaching experience not only covers football, but he is an accomplished basketball and baseball coach who's teams usually finish in the top of their divisions.

Coach Sunday has a excellent repor with his players and coaches and has been sought after by other Pop Warner football programs.  We are excited to have him once again join our staff and begin his tenure as head coach for South Texas Lightning Pee Wee football team.
